Postage rates are scheduled to increase...again.

On Tuesday, November 22, 2011 the Post Office is scheduled to announce their final decision on how much they will increase postage rates.

The new postage rates are scheduled to go into effect on January 22, 2012.

Initial reports claim that the Post Office is planning to increase postage rates for standard bulk mail (the most common mailing method for direct mail advertising) by 1.867%.

Based on the current standard rate of $0.276 each, that would make the new rate $0.281.

The final numbers will be published here once the announcement is official.
